SkillsUSA has worked closely with industry and education leaders to develop and launch the Skill Connect Assessments. The Technical Advisory Committee is one group that has been instrumental to providing guidance and support for the assessments and our pilot SkillsUSA chapters in six vulnerable communities around the country. The final meeting of this group will be held on Tuesday, March 2, at the Department of Education’s Office of Vocational and Adult Education (OVAE) headquarters.

SkillsUSA would like to thank these committee members for their dedication and insights they have provided over the last four years.

"Skill Connect Assessments give me the ability to track student achievement according to nationally developed benchmarks that were created by the industries of each area."

Bruce Potter,
Program Specialist

In the past few weeks, we have experienced the most significant snowfall in history here in our national’s capital. This season has given me an even greater appreciation for our skilled work force – those who work nonstop to restore power and repair frozen pipes, or those who engineer our roads, buildings, and vehicles to manage the stress of such extreme conditions.

It’s the future of this skilled work force that drives us to provide industry-relevant technical assessments. In the last month, we have made 13 more assessments available for purchase, and we’re working hard to have all of our assessments – more than 40 in total – available to you by March.

Please visit our website to preview or purchase assessments, experience a 10-question demonstration, view a complete list of assessments, or register as a proctor. If you have additional feedback, please e-mail us. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
